Online Marketing
Online Marketing, an online PR strategy
Online Marketing is still a foreign concept to many in business today. It used to be considered enough for a business just to have a website. Those were the days when people reached for the Golden Pages before Google. The world has moved on... have you?
Marketing made simple
Let's compare TV advertising with online marketing. Worlds apart? Not at all. Both TV and the internet are primarily entertainment media. With television you can buy expensive ad slots or sponsor programming. With the Internet it is the same, but less expensive.
There are of course some large differences. There are no internet 'programs' that ensure your advert will be seen by millions of 'viewers'. The rules therefore are different, but the principles remain the same. You want to be seen by as many potential customers as possible.
I said there were no internet 'programs' that equate with television programming. There are however websites that draw even higher numbers to them than the majority of domestic programming. The fantastic part is that it cost a fraction of the price of TV advertising to reach those millions of internet surfers. That is why we say the internet is marketing made simple.
Do you have a Marketing Department?
If you have a marketing department, then you will already understand the value of marketing. The question is how well do your marketing team understand the capabilities of the internet when it comes to budgeting for, and implementing your own unique online marketing mix?
Even with a marketing department that understands the value of the internet for your business, there are very few traditional marketeers that have the ability to make their concepts work online. It is not their fault, traditional teaching methods in marketing do not include any useful IT training.
Do you have an IT department?
IT departments in Irish companies are usually full of technical support people. They are responsible for the day to day smooth running of your networks. They may have some involvement with your website, but they probably did not develop it themselves. They have absolutely no idea about marketing. This is the traditional company IT infrastructure. IT staff are technical.
Bridging the gap between IT and Marketing
This is where Webshed come in. We understand marketing, and specifically online marketing. We have the technical ability to carry through the concepts.
We are comfortable working with your marketing department, making their ideas a reality that works online. Equally we are comfortable working with your IT department, using their skills to get your Unique selling points online and driving business to you.
No marketing or IT Departments
With many SME's there are no Marketing or IT departments. These roles are outsourced, or taken on by other staff within the business. We love working with SME's. Dynamic people who are passionate about their business reflect our own passion for what we do. There is no feeling more satisfying than that of having helped a SME achieve their targets, and compete with much larger fish. The internet does not care how big your business is. It cares how well you market yourself.
Creating your online Brand
Brand awareness is crucial to any business. We have a holistic view of the internet. This website is divided into sections, but the reality is that to drive your business online, you need to create a mix of all our sections specific to your own company market.
You need to create brand awareness and use it to drive traffic to your own site. On your site there must be some sort of call to action. Those visitors must make you money.
